Amor John Lockard, 74 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at home.Born in Cherry Hill, MD, on June 2, 1930, he was the son of the late John Settle and the late Marie Leonia Mahler Lockard.Mr. Lockard was a lifelong resident of Cecil County, MD. He worked for Elk Paper Mill for 8 years. He retired after 36 years of service from the Maryland State Highway Administration, and he also worked for Baldwin Manufacturing Dye House for 5 years.He was a member of the Elkton Church of the Nazarene, Elkton Morning Bowling League, Friday Morning Bowling Get Together, and the Newark Bowling Traveling League. He enjoyed Gospel Music.Mr. Lockard was the husband of the late, Lucy Draper Lockard, Lilli Mae Burcham Lockard, and companion of Frances Peterson. Survived by his siblings:, Frances Kennedy of Elkton, MD, Leonia Green of Wilmington, DE, Louise Burke of Crab Orchard, TN, Louis Lockard, Sr of Elkton, MD, John H Lockard of Sturtavant, WI, Henritta Brown of Hartley, DE, and Ninette Pytko of Elkton, MD, with whom he resided.He was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Fisher.Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Elkton Church Of The Nazarene, 377 Nottingham Road, Elkton, MD. Friends may call Friday, January 14, 2005 from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, or from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 15, 2005, at the Elkton Church of The Nazarene, prior to services. The Rev. James Moyers will officiate.Interment will follow services in Boulden
