Amanda Ann Rambo

Amanda Ann Rambo Amanda Ann Rambo, 88 of North East, MD, died Saturday, August 13, 2005 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. She was born on October 16, 1916 in North East, MD, and has been a lifelong resident of Cecil County, MD. Mrs. Rambo retired in 1974 from the Perry Point V.A. Medical Center with 23 years of service, working in the Fiscal Department, where she was in charge of patient funds. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, North East, MD, Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 6027, North East, MD, and NARFE. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, plants, flowers, working in the yard, her pets, getting together with family and friends, and attending the North East High School Alumni Banquet. Mrs. Rambo was the wife of the late Edward Rambo, who died in 1960. Survivors include her son, Ralph S. Rambo of North East, MD; sisters, Olive Knowles of North East, MD, and Mary Burton of North Port, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and their families. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rambo was preceded in death by her son, William Rambo; brothers, Elisha, Ralph, and Delbert Atkinson; and sister, Isabelle. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, prior to services. Rev. Mary Browne will officiate. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, North East, MD.
