Alvin Charles Russel Sr. "Boggie"

Alvin Charles Russell Sr. “Boggie” (born July 30, 1950) of North East, MD died on September 14, 2025 in the arms of his son, with his wife and close family members by his side.

He was a member of Millwright Union 219 of Delaware for 55 years, until retiring due to health problems in 1996. He enjoyed RVing and went to Florida during the winter months for over 25 years. He started out with an old camper and worked up to a Class A 36-foot motorhome. He was an avid collector of antique cars and tractors, and he was a master of mechanics. He had the ability to tear anything apart and put it back together perfectly. He loved to collect many things. He was extremely skilled in many trades; he could remodel and fix anything. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed with his family and many friends; he loved to hunt, fish, and work in his garden. He was a very generous, kind-hearted man who was always ready to help anyone, but not wanting anything in return. He was extremely hardworking and maintained that strong work ethic his entire life.

He was married to his childhood sweetheart for 53 years. He was an extremely devoted father and grandfather and was a deeply involved family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Russell, son Alvin “Rusty” Russell Jr., his daughter-in-law Kara Quesenberry, and 2 grandchildren, Olivia and Brady Russell, all of North East, MD. He is also survived by one daughter of North East, MD.

A viewing for Alvin will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025, between 5:00 and 8:00 PM, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S Main Street, North East, MD. Services for Alvin will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at North East Methodist Cemetery.
