Allen Everett Gray

Allen Everett Gray, 87 of North East, MD, died Saturday, January 13, 2007 in Houston, TX.

Born in Bay View, MD, on July 1, 1919, he was the son of the late Warner Wivel Gray and
Mary Etta Gray.

He was Vice President at the First National Bank of North East and Vice President of the Cecil National Bank branch in Rising Sun, MD. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, a former member of the North East Lions Club and treasurer of the Town of North East.

He enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing on the Susquehanna Flats and ice fishing on the North East River. He especially enjoyed gardening. He was well known for his generosity.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Gray.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred "Bayes" McCauley Gray of North East, MD

Sons: Allen "Chuck" Gray II and his wife Patricia of Houston, TX; Ronald Otis Gray and his wife Kathy of North East, MD; his daughter Judith Ann Wiles, of North East, MD; his sister, Doris Sherrod, of Richmond, VA; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. .

Memorial service will be held at 3pm, Friday, January 19, at the North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Reverend Thomas Short and Daniel T. Gedman will officiate.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 6th floor, New York, NY 1001.
