Allen Everett Gray

Allen Everett Gray, 87 of North East, MD, died Saturday, January 13, 2007 in Houston, TX.<br><br>Born in Bay View, MD, on July 1, 1919, he was the son of the late Warner Wivel Gray and <br>Mary Etta Gray.<br><br>He was Vice President at the First National Bank of North East and Vice President of the Cecil National Bank branch in Rising Sun, MD. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, a former member of the North East Lions Club and treasurer of the Town of North East. <br><br>He enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing on the Susquehanna Flats and ice fishing on the North East River. He especially enjoyed gardening. He was well known for his generosity.<br><br>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Gray.<br><br>Survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred "Bayes" McCauley Gray of North East, MD<br><br>Sons: Allen "Chuck" Gray II and his wife Patricia of Houston, TX; Ronald Otis Gray and his wife Kathy of North East, MD; his daughter Judith Ann Wiles, of North East, MD; his sister, Doris Sherrod, of Richmond, VA; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. .<br><br>Memorial service will be held at 3pm, Friday, January 19, at the North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD.<br><br>Reverend Thomas Short and Daniel T. Gedman will officiate.<br><br>Interment will be private.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 6th floor, New York, NY 1001.<br>
