Alice Bertha Gill

Alice Bertha Gill, 84 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in the SunBridge Nursing Home, Elkton, MD. Born in North East, MD, on February 13, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harry and the late Florence Hill Reynolds. She was the wife of the late Richard Lee Gill who died Feb. 4, 1993. She retired from Cecil County Public Schools as a Cafeteria Worker, working at North East Elementary and North East High School. She also worked at Silco and Ames, both in North East, MD. She enjoyed crafts, flower gardening and was well known for her pies, cakes and baked goods. Survivors include: three daughters: Bonnie Pugh of Ireland, WV; Brenda Smith of Auburn, WA; Donna K. Cooke of Elkton, MD; two sons: Thomas R. Gill of North East, MD; James L. Gill of Elkton, MD; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
