Alden Wilson

Alden Wilson, 79 of Calvert, MD, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cleveland, VA, on August 12, 1931, he was the son of the late Preston Lee and the late Hazel Kaiser Wilson. He was the husband of the late Ella Louise Wilson who died on May 23, 2002. Mr. Wilson was the Founder and Owner of Wilson Fuel Service, Elkton, MD. He was a member of Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, Charlestown, MD where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed mowing and gardening. Survivors include his children: Janet Steeves and her companion Charlie of Elkton, MD, Jerry Wilson and his wife Linda of Elkton, MD and Sandy Kennedy and her husband Rodney of Calvert, MD; his companion: Phyllis Steward of Calvert, MD; 4 brothers: Roy Wilson of VA, Curtis Wilson of Elkton, MD, Lonnie Wilson of NC, Giles Wilson of VA; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Dennis Gilbert will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, 1168 West Old Philadelphia Road, Charlestown, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow services in Rose Bank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
