Albertha May (Meekins) Smythe

Albertha May Smythe, 82 of North East, MD, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving and caring family.

Born in North East, MD, on August 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Albertha (Hines) Meekins.

Albertha, a homemaker, is survived by five daughters: Pamela Ray of North East, MD, Janelle Smythe of Parsons, KS, Pixie Smythe-Maes of North East, MD, Wendy Tippett of Rising Sun, MD and Terri Smythe Greer of North East, MD; and son: Nathaniel Smythe of Rising Sun, MD; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Roger K. Smythe, and daughters: Tracy Lorraine Smythe and Kimberly Faye Smythe Hunt.

Friends may call Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
