Albert James Jacobs

Albert James Jacobs, 67 of Rising Sun, MD passed away on July 8, 2006. Born on September 2, 1938 in Decatur, PA. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl M. Jacobs. After retiring from the U.S. Navy in 1978, Mr. Jacobs attended college and received a degree in Human Resources. He worked for Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Mr. Jacobs retired from the State of Maryland working as a local Veterans Employment Representative of Harford County. Mr. Jacobs was a member of the American Legion Post #194 in Rising Sun, MD. He loved gardening and going to country music concerts. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Gail Austin in 1988. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Helen Jacobs; 3 daughters, Debora Lydick of Parkville, MD, Kim Austin of Centerville, MD, Cynthia Rutherford of Gambrills, MD, and 6 grandchildren; 1 brother, Nelson Jacobs of Myerstown, PA; 4 sisters, Joyce Rathmell of Cogan Station, PA, JoAnne McMullan of Williamsport, PA, Janet Barone of Williamsport, PA, and Judy Myers of Myerstown, PA. Memorial service will be held Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Saturday, July 15, 2006 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. James B. Jones will officiate. Interment will be Monday, July 17, 2006 in Crownsville Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
