Vera R. Martino

Vera R. "Sis" Martino, age 90, of North East, Maryland, died Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, Maryland. Born in North East, Maryland, on July 1, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Meekins and Amelia Clark Meekins. She was a lifelong resident of Cecil County, Maryland. Mrs. Martino was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, Maryland. Mrs. Martino was the wife of the late, John Joseph "Buster" Martino who died June 23, 1997. Survivors include her son; John M. Martino and his wife, Bobbie, North East, Maryland, sister; Betty Warren, North East, Maryland and two grandchildren; Jason and Jodi Martino. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2003 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland where family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Father Joseph Piekarski of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, North East, Maryland will officiate. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Maryland.
