Steven "Jeff" Hanson
Mr. Hanson was a graduate of the University of Delaware and former employee of W.L. Gore and Associates. He had a passion for sailing, golfing, life by the river at Hance Point, and all things Philadelphia sports.
He recently served as president of the Hance Point Community Association and was a mentor at North East Elementary for over a decade.
He is survived by his two children, Jacqueline Zeman of Portland, OR and Erik Hanson of North East; his partner, Paula McGovern of North East; his sisters Kathleen Mayotte of Plymouth, MI and Karen Breeden of Bear, DE; and his three grandsons, Elliot and Casimir Zeman and Bradley Hanson.
Services, conducted by Rev. Ray F. Graham will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11 am, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10 am.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North East Elementary School Mentoring Program, in care of the funeral home.
