Dr. Ruth Ann Breuninger, 75, known as Dr. B, met her Savior face to face, on Saturday, March 17, 2007. She was born on January 10, 1932, in Coatesville, PA and was the daughter of the late Herman Paul and the late Mabel Frances Morgan Breuninger. Dr. B spent her summers on the bay in Charlestown, MD, where she permanently returned to in 1986. She graduated from S. Horace Scott High School in 1949 and received her Bachelor of Education from University of Miami. She later earned a Masters Degree in Christian Education from Wheaton College and a Masters Degree in Physical Education from West Chester State. Then attending Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY, she received her PhD in Christian Education. Her life and ministry has taken her many places. Her first teaching position was at North East High School, where she also started a Young Life Club. After receiving her PhD, she taught at Geneva College, Taylor University, Columbia Bible College and lastly at Lancaster Bible College. In 1972 she started Light House Ministries. She then became the Coordinator of Christian Education at Hollywood Presbyterian Church in Hollywood, CA. She later held the same position for North Avenue Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA. In 1986 Dr. Bee returned to Charlestown, MD, and started a ministry called, "Invest in a Life". In 1991, she opened the Bee Hive at the Sandy Cove Bible Conference where she served faithfully for the past 16 years. Survivors include: one brother, Herman M. Breuninger of Coatesville, PA; Six nieces: Susan Haynes of Ormand by the Sea, FL; Karen Peszko of Parkesburg, PA; Margaret Murray of Parkesburg, PA; Ann Larson-Kingsley of White Plains, NY; Linda Marshall of Dougspar, VA; and L. Christine McKee of Gap, PA; also many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, A. Paul Breuninger. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Sandy Cove Ministries, 60 Sandy Cove Road, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM or Thursday morning one hour prior to the service. Rev. William Welte will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
