Richard Lee Corron

Richard Lee "Pop" Corron, age 76 of Charlestown, MD, was born in Rainelle WV on January 28, 1932 and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2008. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. He was the owner of the Gulf Station in Elkton for 8 years. He also worked for Collins Construction and was a school bus driver. After retiring from his many jobs, he worked part time for Corron's Trash Removal. Richard was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in North East. He enjoyed Gospel Music and loved to sing. He also had a great love for all children. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Frances L. Corron; four sons: Ronald D. and his wife Kathy, Gary D. and his wife Rosemary, Larry K. and his wife Darlene, and Bruce A.; two daughters: Lynnette Brinton and her husband David and Lisa Ewing and her companion Sherman, all of North East; his grandchildren: Steve Corron and his wife Amy of Kennett Square, PA; Cindy Wood and her husband Dan of Elkton; Karen Adkins of North East; Lori Brown and her husband Curt of Elkton; Linda Corron of NC; Larry K. Corron II of North East; Crystal D. Clark and her husband Frank of Elkton; Jason Preston and his wife Laura of Chesapeake City; Brian Corron, Greg Corron, Justin Corron, Katelyn Corron, Eric Church, Ryan Church all of North East; Angie Kennan and husband Dawyne, William Walsh of DE, and Albert and Frank Clark of Elkton; Great Grandchildren: Sara Adkins, Alex and Wyatt Wood, Brandt Corron, Michaela Clark, Marley and Jason Preston, Madeline and Lorelei Brown, Derick, Anthony and Marcus, and Bradley and Ivy Church; Great-great grandchildren: Shane Ronald and William J. Clark, Jr.; his siblings: Frank Corron and his wife Connie of Rising Sun; Jack and his wife Loli of DE; and Linda Ditezal and her husband Joseph of Baltimore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Lee and Edythe Mamie Corron; his sisters; Helen D'Agostino, Margaret Haarer, Virginia Richie and Edythe; and his grandsons: Zachary M. Corron and William "B.J." Clark, Sr. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Mercy Missionary Baptist Church, 2403 Theodore Road, North East, MD. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
