Phyllis Marie Stewart

STEWART, PHYLLIS MARIE nee "Buslovich" Phyllis passed tragically on Friday, September 26, 2008 at University of Maryland's Shock Trauma Unit, surrounded by her adoring family. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Elizabeth Wilkinson and Joseph Buslovich on October 23, 1936, and is survived by her husband Willard "Buzz" and sons Joseph, Charles "Skip", and twins Matthew Pam and Ann John Withers, and predeceased by her youngest daughter Sandra "Sandy". Her only brother, Joseph Buslovich resides in New Port Richey, Florida. Phyllis' loves were her little Yorkies, her green gardens and her joy of cooking. Even when she was able to do very little physically, she always loved to cook great meals for whoever was available. She never seemed to have a bad day, no matter how she was feeling. Whatever Phyllis could give to her children she would give and when there wasn't much to give, she'd find some kind of adventure. Her positive attitude, energy, and joy in her heart were magnetic and she could find the good in everything, no matter how unpromising a situation may be. Few people in life are as kind and generous with everything as Phyllis was, always placing others before herself. With her young family, she fearlessly opted for the adventure of traveling with her husband and children to Colombia and Argentina, South America. No opportunity was too frightening to be lived and enjoyed with her children and she lived for every possible new experience. Life was full of joy always and everyone around Phyllis felt her joy in the moment. If you were near her, you most likely had a smile on your face. She will be profoundly missed and forever in our hearts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Father Stanislo Esposito will officiate. Interment will be private.
