Pearl Marie Bowers

Pearl Marie Bowers, 84 of Elkton, MD formerly of Oxford, PA, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Ashe County, NC, on March 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Roby and the late Bessie Jones Ward. She was the wife of the late Dewey Bowers. Survivors include four daughters: Mae Ward of Oxford, PA, Charlotte Colby of Elkton, MD, Josephine Lockhart of Quarryville, PA, Theresa Melendez of Oxford, PA; four sisters: Mary Turner of West Jefferson, NC, Opal Wyatt of Troutdale, VA, Frances Brewer of Rising Sun, MD, Anna Ward of Rising Sun, MD; Stepdaughter, Ruth Williams of NC; Stepson, Clarence Bowers of Troutdale, VA. She was also survived by 28 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
