Minerva A. Hall, 95, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at the Healthcare Center in Cokesbury Village, Hockessin, DE. She was born on September 10, 1913 to the late Walter J. and Minerva Dean Hall in North East, MD. Miss Hall graduated from North East High School in 1932 and the University of Delaware in 1936. After working as a dietitian for DuPont, she changed careers in midlife eventually retiring from the Bank of Delaware in Wilmington, DE. A dutiful daughter, she cared for her aging parents until their deaths at ages 96 in 1976 and 1981. She moved into Cokesbury Village at its opening in 1978. Preceding her in death was her brother, George H. Hall in 1973 and dear friend Charlotte Park in 1997. She is survived by her niece, Laura Dexter Miller of Waukegan, IL; great nieces Deidre Matthew Taylor of New Castle, IN and Carisa Dr. Damon Cooney of Springfield, IL; great nephew Gavin Miller of Schaumburg, IL; great-great nieces Anastasia Taylor and Boudecia Cooney, and great-great nephew Nicholas Taylor. Also, surviving her are Dean Krumrein of FL, Thomas Gehrt of Greenville, DE and her Cokesbury family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George H. Hall in 1973 and dear friend Charlotte Park in 1997. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2009 at the North East Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Graham officiating.
