Mary Virginia Gifford

Mary Virginia Gifford, 91 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Broad Creek Manor, Whiteford, MD.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on June 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John Kirk Gifford and Louise (Fristoe) Gifford.

Prior to her retirement, Mary was a C & P Telephone Operator and also a school bus driver for Francis Gifford.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Ebenezer Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD.

She is survived by her sister: Rachel Blevins of Rising Sun, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning 1 hour prior to service.

Inurnment will follow at Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ebenezer Church, in care of the funeral home.
