Joyce Norieta (Gronso) Dyer

Joyce N. Dyer, 84, of North East, Maryland, passed away on August 10, 2024. Born on October 12, 1939 in Michigan, Joyce lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and a commitment to her family and friends.

Joyce was the beloved wife of the late David Dyer, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to two children, May and Val, and a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, Loren, Christian, Melvin, and Linda. She had seven great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Joyce was known for her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to her family. Joyce enjoyed collecting coins, and attending Thanksgiving dinner at the local VFW.  Joyce had a gift for staying informed about everyone else's business, and she never missed an opportunity to share the latest 'news'—whether it was true or not. Her dedication to keeping the community up-to-date will be missed, but we suspect she’s already found new stories to tell up in the great beyond. Joyce is survived by her brother, daughter, grandchildren, great-children, dear friends and extended family who will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her husband David and her daughter, Val. A memorial service will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD on August 24, 2024, at 12:00 noon, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

Joyce's grace, wisdom, and love will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
