A. Darrel Wright

A. Darrell Wright, 78, of Newark, DE, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Manorcare, Wilmington, DE.

Born in Clincho, VA, on July 4, 1934, he was the son of the late Clifford and the late Maudie (Clark) Wright.

He was a painter with 38 years of service, for General Motors before retiring. Darrel began    playing Bluegrass and Country music at age 15 and played in many local V.F.W.’s and Moose Lodges. He also enjoyed fishing.

Survived by his wife: Gladys(Stanley) Wright, daughters: Guyette Hood of Wilmington, DE, Joan Book of Rochester, NY and four sons: Michael Wright of New Castle, DE, Darrel Wright, Jr. of Wilmington, DE, Clifford Wright of Smyrna, DE, James Wright of Hockessin, DE. 3 step-daughters, Wendy Wardrop of Wilmington, DE; Tina Cox of Newark, DE; and Cheryl Ann Finkberger of Detroit, MI; Step-son, John Pencavage of Hockessin, DE; sister, Vera Ozmar, Petersburg, VA, brother Harry Wright, Charleston, W VA and late brother, Virgil Lee Wright.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where friends may call from 10:00 AM to service time.

Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aldino, MD. .
