Val Dyer, 57 of North East, MD, died Friday, May 4, 2018 in the University of Maryland Center, Baltimore, MD.
Born in Augsburg, Germany on December 1, 1960, she was the daughter of the late David Dyer and Joyce Dyer of North East, MD.
She was a nurse, who enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and was active in N.A.
Val is survived by her daughter: Linda A. Venema of Los Angeles, CA; her son: Melvin T. Venema of Pearl Harbor, HI; and one sister: Norieta M. Nemcik of Buffalo, NY.
Val had requested to have a picnic to celebrate her life. At this time the details have not been finalized.

Val Dyer's celebration of her life will be on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the VFW in North East, MD from 11 AM until 1 PM. The address is 815 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD. We will be serving a light lunch with salads. If you would like to bring a dish to pass, you are welcome to do so. If you plan to attend, please let me know so we can ensure that we have enough food. We have decided to supply water as the beverage. Therefore, please bring your own soda, pop, tea, or etc. Please respect Val's desire for an alcohol free celebration. I look forward to seeing those of you who wish to attend.
