Steven Eugene Townley was born on June 29, 1961 in Elkton, MD to the late Joan Townley.  He departed this life, to be with the Lord he so deeply loved, on Saturday, November 12, 2016.

Steven was a dedicated and devoted participant of Bayside Community Network, Inc. for 34 years.  During these years, Steven worked on various projects and developed many close friendships. Steven enjoyed dancing, listening to music, watching sitcoms, and quoting his favorite shows.  Steven loved Oprah Winfrey and the Oprah show.  Steven’s greatest joy was spending time with his siblings and friends.  Steven was a regular participant of Special Olympics.

Steven was known for his booming voice, bright smile and happy disposition.

Steven is survived by three brothers and three sisters: Sandy Cain, Cheryl Brown, Shelia Brittingham, Derick Townley, Bryant Townley and Daryl Townley.  Steven will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends from Bayside Community Network, Inc.

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Cheri Dupree, will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
