Mary Alice (Bryant) Smith

Mary Alice Smith, 83, daughter of the late William Bryant and the late Cora Bryant, born August 31, 1934, went home to our Lord and Savior on Friday, July 20, 2018 in the early morning hours.

Mary was born and raised in Jackson County, FL.  She married the late Samuel Smith in 1965.

She worked as a waitress for 25+ years in Ocean City.  Then she moved to North East, MD in 1967.  She also worked as a housekeeper/nanny for Dr. Farkas for 30 years.

Mary enjoyed her grandchildren, making ceramics, was a helper to all within the local community and loved horse races.

She was preceded in death by her late husband: Samuel Smith; two sisters: Julia Hill and Catherine Tanner; and three brothers: Allen, James and Lloyd Bryant.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory one son: Curtis L. Bryant of North East, MD; two grandsons: Jawan M. Bryant of North East, MD, Anthony Bryant of Perryville, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Home going services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 beginning at 10:30 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 9:00 am until service.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

The family wishes to give sincere thanks to our family and friends, both near and far, who have so unselfishly supported and embraced us in every way possible.  We thank you very much.
