Marian Elizabeth Scott, age 91, of Port Deposit, MD, entered her Heavenly home on Sunday, May 14, 2017.  She was born January 11, 1926 in Spring Creek, PA to Harold and Ruth Matteson.

Marian enjoyed life on the farm; she especially enjoyed “haying time” when she got to drive the tractor.  Marian’s older sister, Helen, was saved at a Revival meeting and came home that night and told Marian about her need for Jesus. Marian accepted Jesus that night as her Lord and Savior.

Marian is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years: Rev. William J. Scott; her children: William M. and Jennifer Scott, of North East, MD, Robert and Roxanna Scott, of Phoenixville, PA, Sherrilyn and Allan Bergen, of Drake, Saskatchewan, Canada, Gloria Scott, of Port Deposit, MD, Daniel and Jacqueline Scott, of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, David and Renee Scott, of Port Deposit, MD and Peter and Wendy Scott, of Chiang Mai, Thailand; 24 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Marian is also survived by older sister, Helen Damon, of Corry, PA.

Marian’s greatest joys included: being a Mom, lovingly supporting her husband, writing music, reading a good novel and playing the organ for Sunday worship at Grace Bible Chapel.  She had a deep longing for others to know Christ.

A celebration of Marian’s life will be held Monday, May 22, 2017, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation beginning at 10:15 AM, at Grace Bible Chapel, 1949 Joseph Biggs Highway, Rising Sun, MD. Family and friends are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Grace Bible Chapel.
