James Fortner Obituary

James C. Fortner, 89 of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Laurelwood Healthcare Center, Elkton, MD.

Born in NC, on July 27, 1930, he was the son of the late William and Lela (Smith) Fortner.

Mr. Fortner served in the Army during the Korean War.

Prior to his retirement, he worked at Thompson Steel Co., Baltimore, MD and in maintenance at the Flying J, North East, MD.

He is survived by two daughters: Denise Hileman of Micaville, NC and Linda Brown of Baltimore, MD.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Interment followed in Boulden's Chapel Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
