George Vincent Parsio, 76 of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.
Born in Mays Landing, NJ, on August 29, 1942, he was the son of the late George Vincent Sr. and Stephena (Spera) Parsio.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, stationed in Germany.
Mr. Parsio retired from Verizon, where he worked as a switchman. He also worked at On Our Own in Elkton, an organization that helps the homeless and veterans.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years: Kathy R. Parsio; his children: Cheryl A. Conaway-Dill (Keith) of Chestertown, MD and Don W. Irvin (Stefanie) of Aston, PA; 3 siblings: Carol Rusch (Paul) of Horsham, PA, Deb Clifford (Sheila Keith) of CA, and Joseph F. Parsio (Jackie) of Lansdowne, PA; 4 grandchildren: Sarah, Nick, Tina and Lilli. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by 2 siblings: Terrie Patterson and Jack Parsio.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
