Ellen Rebecca Sebold, 93 of Port Deposit, MD, passed peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born on March 26, 1923, the daughter of the late William R. and Viola Mella (Lynch) Mahoney. 

Mrs. Sebold was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD and the Har-Ce Forest #142 Cedarettes.

She loved to cook, work in the yard, travel and enjoyed being with her family, especially working side by side with her husband.

She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years: John W. Sebold; daughter: Rebecca S. Myers and son: James E. Sebold all of Port Deposit, MD; her niece: Emma Wagner of Conowingo, MD; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sebold was preceded in death by her siblings: Ella Mae Mahoney, Samuel Crothers, Elizabeth Clark, Amy Robinson and Clara Love.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Private family interment will be on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
