Bonnie Lee (Williams) Dowdy

Bonnie Lee Dowdy, 63 of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

She was born in Elkton, on April 29, 1955, the daughter of the late William F. Williams and the late Alberta (Lloyd) Taylor.  She was the wife of the late Melvin Lee Dowdy who passed in 2001.

Bonnie’s family was the most important thing in her life.  She loved taking care of them and spending time with all of them.  She was a hero to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: two daughters: Bridgett M. Dowdy (Hugh Melody, Fiancé) of Elkton, MD, Cindy Johnson of Charlestown, MD; and one son: Melvin Dowdy (Nancy) of Hartley, DE; her siblings: Tina Williams of Bethany Beach, DE and Tammy Talmo (Dave, Fiancé) of Elkton, MD, Buck Williams (Barbara) of Bethany Beach, DE; 8 grandchildren and one great granddaughter: Lillian.

Thank you to Angela Lee for her help during Bonnie’s husband’s passing.  And a special thanks to Christine M. Belisle for being such a great friend to our mother, from the children.

Funeral service, conducted by Frank C. McFadden will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.
