I found Barbara to be a visionary, that saw the good and potential in people, sometimes even before the could see it themselves. She paid kindness forward to others in the most selfless way. I have been truly blessed to be the recipient of her goodwill and faith. May God Bless her and welcome her home to his kingdom, for surely we need an angel as just and fair as Barbara. May her family find comfort in knowing, how truly she changed lives in the most positive way.

I met Barbara when we both attended The Tome School back in the "60's. She and her sister Jane were such nice girls. I'm sorry I had not seen Barbara since then but I am not surprised she went on to a career helping others. My sympathies to those she left behind, family and friends alike.

Barbara was a dedicated pharmacist committed to providing care to our Veterans. For this alone, she will be missed. However, she was also a part of the pharmacy family at Perry Point where she worked her entire VA career, sharing together both the good times as well as the bad. On behalf of the entire VAMHCS Pharmacy Service, I extend our prayers and our heartfelt condolences to Barbara, her family, and all her friends who loved and cherished her. Sincerely, Gene de Lara
