Willard G. Bryan, Jr., 76 of North East, MD, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, Willard was born in Elkton, on July 30, 1941, the son of the late Willard G. Bryan, Sr. and Dorothy (Robinson) Bryan.

Mr. Bryan served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a member of the 2nd Armored Division “B” Battery 1st HOW BN - 78th Artillery. He was also a long time member of the Army Reserves. He retired from GM in 1991.

One of his great enjoyments was to be out on his riding mower cutting his grass.

He also enjoyed seeing and spending time with all of his grand and great grandchildren as well as enjoyed watching them participate in their favorite sports. Joshua, Chris, Bryan, Berek, Jason, Jared in football and Kelsey and Jess playing softball. He was also a big fan of and enjoyed watching the Ravens and the Orioles.

Survivors include his loving wife: Lola R. (Laramore) Bryan: 4 children: Willard G. Bryan 3rd of McCordsville, IN, Tammi Hart (Thomas) of Whitepost, VA, Sherri Hipkins (Chuck) of Stephen City, VA, and Christopher Bryan (Patricia) of Elkton, MD; his sister: Shirley Laird of North East, MD; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. His middle name is carried on with two of great grandchildren, Elijah Grafton and Leon Grafton.

Memorial services, conducted by Rev. Richard Berry will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until service time.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Amedisys Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
