Walter Richard (Andy/ Pop) Anderson, 86 of North East, MD, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at home.

Born in Elk Neck, MD, on December 28, 1929, he was the grandson of the late Carl and Maggie Anderson. 

Walter was an avid Chevrolet enthusiast having owned and operated Andy's Auto Sales. He retired from Chesapeake Care Resources in 2015.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather who is survived by his loving wife of 64 years: Georgeina (Jean) Anderson; children: Arnold Anderson (Sharon) of Elkton, MD, Jean Marie Miller (Kevin) of North East, MD, Susan Anderson of North East, MD, John Anderson of North East, MD, Douglas (Shorty) Anderson (Tracy) of Elkton, MD and Troy Anderson of North East, MD. Pop is also survived by: 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great – great grandchildren.

In addition to his grandparents he was predeceased by his son: Richard Anderson.
