Roger Lester Preisch, 71 of Elkton, MD, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at home.

Born in Lockport, NY, on September 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Lester and Iris Preisch.  He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Ann (Schmelzle) Preisch. They were married 46 years prior to her passing on June 1, 2012.

Roger was a retired teamster, working for M & G Trucking for over 25 years.

He loved everything outdoors, hunting, football and watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.  He also enjoyed cooking and baking for his family.  His beloved dog Travis was a constant companion by his side.

Survivors include his sons: Rodney & wife Jennifer, Tim & wife Kathryn and Michael & wife Kristin Preisch; six grandchildren: Casie, Alec, Ryan, Claire, Lacy and Cady; three siblings: Gary Preisch of North East, MD, Mary Palumbo of Lockport, NY and Muriel Dear, Wilmington, NC; a sister-in-law: Valerie Dlugosz; and a brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Diane Jester.

In addition to his parents and wife, Roger was also preceded in death by his brother: Clayton Preisch.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Jack Cohen will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm until service time.

Interment will be private.
