Richard Edward Deering, 82 of St. Mary's Village, Rahns, PA, and Red Point Beach, near North East, MD, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Warwick Township, PA, on March 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Charles W. and the late Florence Deering. He was the beloved husband of Mary Deering of Red Point Beach, near North East, MD. He served during World War II in the Army Air Force. He retired as a machinist foreman from McCarter Ironworks, Norristown, PA. Mr. Deering enjoyed boating and raising his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his children: Patricia Ozga of Marlton, NJ; Renee Cecil of Rainell, WV; Roxanne Harrison of Paradise, PA; Richard Charles Deering of Boca Raton, FL; and Robert Deering of Denver , PA. His siblings: Eugene Deering of Pottstown, PA; John Deering of Elverson, PA; Robert Deering of Elverson, PA; Mary Kriczky of Royersford, PA; and Nancy Valentine of Elverson, PA. He was also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to: Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
