Michael “Mickey” Blankenship, 68 of Bay View, MD, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Grundy, VA, on Jan. 21, 1949. 

Prior to retirement, Mickey was a home builder.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed poker.  Most of all he loved his family and the time they spent together.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years: Karen; beloved daughters: Kim Scarborough and Trish Blankenship both of North East, MD; his mother: Mae (Tudor) Blankenship; brothers: Tony and Joe Blankenship all of Elkton, MD; a sister: Dolly Noon of Aberdeen, MD; four grandchildren: Katie, Jacob, Emily and Megan; his father-in-law: Walter Biggers; good friend: Joe Peterson and his sons: Jaxon and Tank.

Mickey was preceded in death by his father: Wallace Blankenship.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at 11 am.

Interment will follow services in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD.
