Loretta Rock, 54 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton on October 21, 1961.

Loretta was employed by the University of Delaware as a custodian.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6027, North East, MD. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting and crafting.  Most of all, Loretta loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with them.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years: Larry Rock; one son: Joseph Rock and wife Tracy of Rising Sun, MD; her parents: George Walter and Betty (Bullock) Rhoades of North East, MD; four brothers: George W. Rhoades Jr. and Richard Rhoades both of Elkton, MD, Frederick Rhoades of North East, MD and Jeffrey Rhoades of Fair Hill, MD.

She was preceded in death by her son: Charles Wade Gifford.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
