Fred L. Sexton, Sr., 77 of North East, MD, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Princeton, WV, on October 9, 1938, he was the son of the late Lester F. and Etta M. (Weidner) Sexton.

Prior to his retirement, Fred worked for James C. Wagman, Aberdeen, MD as a brick and block layer.

A real people person, he enjoyed visiting the Elkton McDonald’s and Walmart, and talking with everyone.

Survivors include his 8 children:  Fred L. Sexton, Jr. (Carla), Connie Freese (Mark) all of North East, Brenda Sexton (James) of Elkton, MD, Richard Sexton of Newark, DE, Sandra Deaver of Elkton, MD, Treasa Sexton (Randy) of North East, MD, Jackie Sexton (Javier) of Elkton, MD and Loretta Whitmore (Kevin) of North East, MD; his brother: Ben Sexton (Ruth) of Perryville, MD; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 daughters: Peggy Sue, Etta Mae and Ella Mae Sexton.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East.
