Ernest Kay ”Ernie” “Little Wrench” Barton, 55 of Conowingo, MD, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Elkton, MD, on January 24, 1962, he was the son of the late Beulah Barton Honaker.
Ernie enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood, NJ, NHRA, monster trucks and making people laugh. He never met an enemy and would help anyone who needed it. No matter what the temperature he never wore a jacket. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was a truck driver over 30 years, employed by C. Morris in Smyrna, DE.
Survived by his wife of 33 years: Beverly (Donze) Barton; two daughters: Jessica L. Barton (Shawn McCoy) of Port Deposit, MD and Melissa S. Barton of Conowingo, MD; brothers: Ralph Honaker of Elkton, MD and Jimmy Honaker of North East, MD; granddaughter: Sky M. Brackins; and his grand dog: Nala. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his mother he is predeceased by his son: Ernest K. Barton, Jr.
Friends may call Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow services in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
