Doris Simpers Obituary

Doris Jean Simpers, 94 of North East, MD, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD.

Born in Bluefield, WV, on July 30, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Coveley C. and Dora Mae (Vider) York. She was the wife of the late Harry Ridgley Simpers.

Doris is survived by one son: Gary Simpers (Tracie) of Elkton, MD; sister: Janice Melvin; brother: Roger York; one grandson: Gary Simpers, Jr. (Denise) of North East, MD; and two great grandchildren: Carson and Charlotte.

Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S. Main St., North East, MD 21901.
